Dune Runner 3D is a fully playable 3D platformer developed as part of the Game Design and Development specialization. The game challenges players to move across a series of platforms, collect items, and reach the goal while managing movement, jumps, and camera control.
The project builds upon a base tutorial and expands it with several gameplay systems and improvements to create a more complete and engaging experience.

Modifications & Improvements
This project includes several significant modifications beyond the tutorial:
1. Double Jump System
The player can perform a second jump while in the air, allowing better control and more advanced platforming.
2. Checkpoint System
Players respawn at the last activated checkpoint instead of restarting from the beginning, improving gameplay flow.
3. Collectible System with UI
Gems can be collected throughout the level, and a UI counter tracks progress in real time.
4. Moving Platforms
Dynamic platforms add challenge and require timing and precision.
5. Full Game State System
Includes:
- Pause menu (ESC key)
- Win condition
- Lose/respawn system
6. Third-Person Camera Control
Mouse-controlled camera allows players to look around and adjust perspective during gameplay.
